A question for Lago Vista City Council.

Our city is hurting, and for many, faith in humanity and our institutions has been shaken. My strength comes from my faith, especially during difficult times like these. Prayer and selfreflection help me consider not only what decision to make, but how to carry the responsibility of making it. I recognize that our residents have different religious beliefs, or perhaps none at all, but we can still share the same hope for thoughtful, compassionate leadership. My personal faith guides me, but it does not replace the responsibility to listen, understand the facts, and consider how my decisions affect the people I serve. We begin each City Council meeting with an opening prayer. For me, that is an opportunity to reflect, while recognizing that each person may approach that moment according to their own beliefs.
